The longtime monarch of Britain, affectionately referred to as simply, "the Queen". She was more or less thrown into that role quite unexpectedly at the ripe old age of twenty-five. She did however, step up to the task, just as her father had, and in a similar manner .
she honored her role for 70 years, and that in and of itself says something. She had the privilege of meeting and hosting more world dignitaries that most could only dream of, and did so in a manner that personified good manners and the social graces.
A suitable description of Queen Elizabeth could be summed up by the word
"dignified", a quality somewhat lacking in much of the world today. her gracious disposition shown over the decades was admired and appreciated
by many. 
Some contend that she was the last of an era. The memory and legacy of Queen Elizabeth will remain,
living on long after her passing, as manners and courtesy never go out of
style.
