Cherished, Priceless & Treasured

The most precious things in life aren't things at all.  And while few would disagree, our actions often speak otherwise.  Much of our existence is spent in the acquiring of things, and our self-worth tends to be measured in a similar manner.  We take great care in providing that our things are passed on properly.

Inheritance is as old as time and has taken on many forms.  One ancient Jewish tradition held that men passed down property to their sons, while the women passed down values and ideals to their daughters.  They found it a practical solution in assuring that future generations would find the perfect balance in the finding of happiness along with that of being well provided for.

Wills provide that our things are passed down to those we choose.  But our lives consist of far more than possessions, so what of the intangibles?    The ancient tradition of passing along values and ideals has made a resurgence in recent years, going by the name of ethical wills.
They can include life lessons, blessings and hopes for the future, apologies to any we may have hurt, or gratitude to those we might have neglected to thank.

Simple messages from the heart.
Cherished, priceless, and treasured.

We each have intrinsic insight that gives meaning to life, along with a unique sense of identity.  When all is said and done, these are what make up the most precious things in life.  When preserved and shared, they have the ability to provide future generations with the same assurances found in days of old.
