It's been said that we leave something of ourselves behind whenever we leave a place. A part of us remains.
When someone we love leaves us, the void is insurmountable. Meaningful remembrances become a vital element in the daunting process of moving forward.
Remembrances are in essence, effects left behind and have the unique ability to enhance our lives in the most amazing of ways, imprinting a graceful presence into our very surroundings, even into the air that we breathe. There are no criteria determining what those remembrances might be, as they are as individual as those to whom they belong.
So whether those effects consist of ladybugs or of elephants, we cherish them. Seemingly ordinary things that fill our world with a tender nearness to those that while so very far away for a time, somehow find a way to remain with us. A gentle reminder that all is well with the world.
